Modifying an Account

This operation enables you to modify basic properties of an account, as well as configure a storage policy for the account.

Procedure

  1. Choose Services > Object Service > Account.
  2. Click More on the right of the desired account and select Modify.

    The Modify Account page is displayed on the right.

  3. Modify properties of the account. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Account Name

    Indicates the name of the account.

    [Value range]

    • The account name contains 1 to 128 characters.
    • The account name can contain only letters, digits, and special characters (!@#$%^*._+, -=).

    Associate with Domain ID

    Select an AD domain ID to be associated with the account if you want to manage account authentication information in a unified manner through an AD domain.

    Bond with Domain Username

    Indicates the name of the AD domain user bound to the account.

    Quota

    Indicates the total storage capacity of the account.

    Standard Storage Quota

    Indicates the maximum standard data capacity of the account after the cold storage device is enabled.

    NOTE:
    • This parameter is available only after the cold storage device is enabled.
    • QuotaStandard Storage Quota

    Cold Storage Quota

    Indicates the maximum amount of cold data of the account that can be stored in the cold storage device.

    NOTE:
    • This parameter is available only after the cold storage device is enabled.
    • QuotaCold Storage Quota

    Parity Fragments

    • Indicates the maximum number of storage nodes or disks allowed to be faulty in a storage pool when Security Level is set to Node. In this case, the data can be accessed and restored automatically.
    • Indicates the maximum number of cabinets or storage nodes allowed to be faulty in a storage pool when Security Level is set to Cabinet. In this case, the data can be accessed and restored automatically.
    NOTICE:

    The available values depend on the number of parity fragments of existing storage pools.

    Deduplication

    If you select this parameter, the deduplication function is enabled.

  4. Click OK.
