Modifying a Replication Group

This operation enables you to modify a created replication group.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > Object Protection > Remote Replication.
  2. In the upper right corner of the area where the desired replication group resides, click Modify.

The Modify Replication Group page is displayed on the right.

  3. Modify cluster information.

    1. Click Configure Cluster.

The Configure Cluster page is displayed.

    2. (Optional) If a cluster is no longer needed or needs to be replaced, click Remove in the Operation column on the right of the cluster.
    3. (Optional) Add a cluster.
      1. Click Add.

The Add Cluster page is displayed.

      2. Select one or more desired clusters and select a site role for each cluster.
      3. Click OK.
      • This operation can be performed only when the number of clusters in the current replication group is less than 2.
      • When adding or removing a cluster, ensure that the number of clusters in the current replication group is the same as that of sites. Otherwise, the modification fails.
    4. Change the primary/secondary roles of the selected clusters.

Among the selected clusters, set one as the primary site and others as secondary sites.

    5. In the diagram of the created replication group, select a link role for the link between devices.

This step is required only when Sites is set to 3 and two of the three links are active links and the other one is a standby link.

    6. Click OK.

  4. In the diagram of created replication group, select a synchronization mode for each primary link. Possible options are Sync and Async.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Confirm your operation as prompted.
