Configuring a Route for a VLAN

This operation enables you to configure a route for a VLAN.

Procedure

  1. Choose Cluster > Network > Route > VLAN.
  2. Select one or more desired VLANs and click Configure Route.

    The Configure Route dialog box is displayed.

    You can also click More on the right of a desired VLAN and select Manage Route. On the Manage Route page that is displayed, click Add to configure a route.

  3. Configure a route for a VLAN.

    • Selecting New
      1. Set the parameters listed in Table 1.

        Parameter

        Description

        Destination IP Address

        Indicates the IP address or network segment of the service network port on the application server or the VLAN on the storage device that is connected to the VLAN.

        Mask/Prefix

        Indicates the subnet mask of the IPv4 address or prefix of the IPv6 address for the destination service network port on the application server or destination VLAN on another storage system.

        Gateway

        Indicates the gateway where the local VLAN's IP address resides.

      2. (Optional) Click Add to add route configurations.
    • Select Copy from.
      1. In the Node area, click Choose to select a node.
      2. In the Port area, click Choose to select a port.
      3. In the Available Routes list, select the required route.
      4. (Optional) Click More on the right of the desired route and select Modify to modify the route information.

        This operation does not change the route information of the source node.

  4. Click OK.
