Managing HyperMetro Consistency Groups

A consistency group consists of multiple HyperMetro pairs. Through a HyperMetro consistency group, you can manage all HyperMetro pairs in it in a unified manner.

• Viewing the HyperMetro Consistency Group Information
  This operation enables you to view information about consistency groups to monitor their status.
• Modifying Properties of a HyperMetro Consistency Group
  This operation enables you to change the name and description of a HyperMetro consistency group.
• Synchronizing a HyperMetro Consistency Group
  This operation enables you to synchronize all HyperMetro pairs in a HyperMetro consistency group. The synchronization ensures the consistency of data on the local and remote devices at the synchronization point in time and protects the data validity of volumes.
• Pausing a HyperMetro Consistency Group
  If you want to pause services in a specific period of time due to site faults or other causes, pause the HyperMetro consistency group of the corresponding site first.
• Switching the Preferred Site for a HyperMetro Consistency Group
  This operation enables you to switch the preferred site of a HyperMetro consistency group. If a fault occurs, services will be provided by the preferred site after the switchover.
• Forcibly Starting a HyperMetro CG
  After a failure of a system or a quorum server is fixed, you can forcibly start a HyperMetro CG to provide services.
• Adding a HyperMetro Pair
  This operation enables you to add HyperMetro pairs to a HyperMetro consistency group.
• Removing a HyperMetro Pair
  This operation enables you to remove a HyperMetro pair from a HyperMetro consistency group.
• Deleting a HyperMetro Consistency Group
  This operation enables you to delete unnecessary HyperMetro consistency groups.
