Adding a Remote Device

This operation enables you to establish a logical connection between a local device and a remote device for data transmission.

The replication IP addresses of the local and remote replication clusters are on the same network segment.

Choose Data Protection > Block Protection > Replication Cluster.
Click More on the right of the desired replication cluster and select Add Remote Cluster.
The Add Remote Device page is displayed.

Set parameters for the remote device. Table 1 describes related parameters.

Parameter	Description
Remote Device Replication IP Address	Indicates the replication IP address of a replication device in the remote replication cluster. NOTE: If there are multiple devices in the remote replication cluster, you can use any of them.
Pre-Shared Key Label	Identifies the pre-shared key of a cluster.
Pre-Shared Key	Implements identity authentication. This parameter functions together with Pre-Shared Key Label.
