Configuring the Billing Service

The object service can record the end users' operations and storage data sizes of users and generate bills accordingly. Fees are calculated based on the filling files. You can change the password of an account for interconnecting with a billing center to ensure security and generate billing files using configurations to enable the billing service.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Object Service Settings > Billing.
  2. Change the password of the billing account.

    1. In the Password area, click Modify.
    2. Enter the old password and a new password, and confirm the new password.

      The default password of user obsbilling is OBSCharging8800!.

  3. Set advanced properties of the billing service.

    1. Click Advanced.
    2. Determine whether to enable Generate Billing Files. The system automatically generates billing files after the switch is enabled.

      The configuration takes effect only after Generate Billing Files is enabled in the default cluster of the default region.

    3. In the Prefix area, click Modify to configure the prefix of the billing file name.

      A billing prefix contains 1 to 31 characters and can contain only letters and digits.

    4. In the IP Address area, enter the IP address and port number of the BSS service.
      • The IP address can only be an IPv4 address.
      • The port ranges from 1 to 65535.
      • The BSS service needs to be configured only when Authentication Type is set to IAM.

  4. Click Save.
