Creating a Consistency Snapshot

When an application or a type of services requires multiple volumes for snapshot creation to maintain consistent snapshot time, you are advised to create a consistency snapshot.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > Block Protection > Snapshot.
  2. Click Create Consistency Snapshot.

    The Create Consistency Snapshot page is displayed on the right.

  3. In the Available Volumes area, select one or more volumes, and then click to add them to the Selected Volumes area on the right.
  4. In the right pane of the Selected Volumes area, set a snapshot name for each volume.

    • The name must be unique.
    • The name can contain letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-).
    • The name contains 1 to 95 characters.

  5. Click OK.
