Adding a Cold Storage Device

This operation enables you to add a cold storage device. After setting the access information and service information, connects a cold storage device to the system so that the system can write data to and read data from the device.

Procedure

  1. Choose Services > Object Service > Cold Storage.
  2. Click Add Cold Storage Device.

    The Add Cold Storage Device page is displayed on the right.

  3. Set access information about the cold storage device. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Management IP

    Indicates the management IP address of the cold storage device. You can log in to the management system of the cold storage device using this IP address.

    Username

    Indicates the user name of the cold storage device.

    Password

    Indicates the password of the cold storage device.

  4. Set service information about the cold storage device. Table 2 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Service

    Indicates whether to enable the service. Data can be written to or read from the cold storage device only after Service is enabled.

    NOTE:

    The following parameters are available only after Service is enabled.

    Cold Storage Type

    Indicates the cold storage type. Currently, only Blu-ray is supported.

    URL

    Indicates the URL used for accessing the cold storage device.

    Access Protocol

    Indicates the protocol used for accessing the cold storage device.

    Currently, only HTTPS is supported.

    Access Certificate

    Indicates the access certificate and security certificate of the cold storage device.

    Enter the access certificate of the system account of the cold storage device.

    Security Certificate

    Enter the security certificate of the system account of the cold storage device.

  5. Click OK.
