Managing Alarm Thresholds

After you set thresholds for system resources, when thresholds are reached, the system generates alarms for notification.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > System Settings > Alarm Thresholds.
  2. Set alarm thresholds.

    Table 1 describes related parameters.
    Table 1 Alarm threshold parameters

    Parameter

    Description

Insufficient Storage Pool Capacity Alarm Threshold (%)

When capacity usage of a storage pool reaches this parameter value, an alarm indicating insufficient storage pool capacity is generated.

    NOTE:

Insufficient storage pool capacity alarm threshold < Severe insufficient storage pool capacity alarm threshold < Storage pool capacity used up alarm threshold

Severe Insufficient Storage Pool Capacity Alarm Threshold (%)

When capacity usage of a storage pool reaches this parameter value, an alarm indicating severe insufficient storage pool capacity is generated.

    NOTE:

Insufficient storage pool capacity alarm threshold < Severe insufficient storage pool capacity alarm threshold < Storage pool capacity used up alarm threshold

Storage Pool Capacity Used Up Alarm Threshold (%)

When capacity usage of a storage pool reaches this parameter value, an alarm indicating storage pool capacity used up is generated.

    NOTE:

Insufficient storage pool capacity alarm threshold < Severe insufficient storage pool capacity alarm threshold < Storage pool capacity used up alarm threshold

    Disk Capacity Alarm Threshold (%)

When disk capacity usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.

    CPU Usage Alarm Threshold (%)

When CPU usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.

    Memory Usage Alarm Threshold (%)

When memory usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.

    Port Usage Alarm Threshold (%)

When port usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.
