Managing Permission Settings

The permission settings function allows you to configure security policies, manage user accounts and roles, manage sessions, and perform access control.

• Configuring Security Policies
  Security policies include user name, password, and login policies. Configuring security policies helps improve system security.
• Managing User Accounts and Roles
  This operation enables you to manage user accounts and roles. Different levels of user accounts vary in operation permissions, thereby ensuring system stability and data security.
• Setting Domain Authentication
  To centrally manage user information, DeviceManager allows users to log in to the storage system in Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server authentication mode.
• Viewing the Current Login User Information
  This operation enables you to view the current login user information by viewing user sessions.
• Configuring Authorized IP Addresses
  This operation enables you to specify the IP addresses that are allowed to access the storage system to prevent unauthorized access. You can add specific IP addresses or IP address segments that are allowed to access the storage system to the access control list.
