Modifying a Replication Group

This operation enables you to modify a created replication group.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > Object Protection > Remote Replication.
  2. In the upper right corner of the area where the desired replication group resides, click Modify.

The Modify Replication Group page is displayed on the right.

  3. In Name, modify the name of the replication group.

    • The name contains 1 to 128 characters.
    • The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). It must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen (-) or underscore (_).

  4. Modify cluster information.

    1. Click Configure Cluster.

The Configure Cluster page is displayed.

    2. (Optional) If a cluster is no longer needed or needs to be replaced, click Remove in the Operation column on the right of the cluster.
    3. (Optional) Add a cluster.

      • This operation can be performed only when the number of clusters in the current replication group is less than 2.
      • After adding or removing a cluster, ensure that the number of clusters in the current replication group is 2. Otherwise, the modification fails.
    4. Change the primary/secondary roles of the selected clusters.

Select Primary for one cluster and Secondary for the other cluster.

    5. Click OK.

  5. In the diagram of created replication group, select a synchronization mode for each primary link. Currently, only asynchronous mode is supported.
  6. Click OK.
