Configuring and Managing Tiering Policies

This section describes how to configure a tiering policy and manage the grades of the disk pools on which file systems are placed or to which file systems are migrated.

• Creating a Tiering Policy
  This operation enables you to create a tiering policy. Tiering policies include placement policies and migration policies. A placement policy determines the disk pool to which file system data is written. A migration policy determines the disk pool to which specific files are migrated.
• Setting Tiering Parameters
  This operation enables you to set the default tiering policy for a file that has not been set with a specific tiering policy.
• Managing Tiering Policies
  This operation enables you to view, modify, and delete a tiering policy.
