Congratulations on getting this done.

I hate to add to the chorus of people looking for other things to be added
but I have some bugfixes and enhancements here:

http://software.beyondthepale.ie/vm/cpupdates/

The update for 3380 support is large and unwieldy but all the others are small
self contained units which might be easy to include. Maybe you might take a
look at them?

My ultimate plan is to produce an update tape which will install everything
at once, also including Bob's DIAG58 and LDF but it it taking me ever longer to
get this completed and I don't know when it will be ready.

I am away from home at the moment and I cannot dig into this right now but I am
sure some of my updates are lacking in detailed installation instructions.
I can can offer help via email if you have any questions though.

Regards,
Peter Coghlan.

Next issue is that it has an older version
of the compiler:

(GCC) 3.2.3 MVS V7.0

The latest released is this:

C:\vm380>restmini \download\gcccms-3_2_3-8_5-exe.vmarc 191

I see you fixed the uppercase filenames
in the .conf file, thanks for that.

If the above is all OK, I'd like to update
the automated scripts in "batch". Currently
they use the reader and a tape. New
scripts use 2 tapes.

Have you coordinated with Bob to see if
he has done any 1.3 work? I vaguely
remember him talking about 1.3. I believe
I have his latest email address.

BFN. Paul.

Pascal

1. Update GCC

491 minidisk needs cleaning
update from 7.0 to 8.5 191

2. Fix file names for UNIX

3. Stanford PASCAL

The actual version 08.2017 available from the website
http://bernd-oppolzer.de/job9.htm
(AWSTAPE format, can be TAPE LOADed into an empty CMS user)
is IMO stable enough ... and it is IMO much better than the
existing 1979 version. You can also read about the enhancements on
the website mentioned above, but if you want, I can write a sort of
"list of extensions" (comparisons between the 1979 and the 08.2017
version), too. It will be a long list ...

4. Put EE Editor on shared disk => Done

5. Update Fullscreen & LDF support => DOne

6. include NICOF & mecaff => done

7. unix
- the sixpack.sh shell script has Windows line endings, and the Unix
  shell doesn't like that.
- it would also be better if there would be a first line reading
  #!/bin/sh
- the VM370 login screen still says 1.2

8. Actually I *did* look at the sixpack-online-help for TRANSFER, but there is no "PRT" option listed.

However, your syntax DOES in fact work.

And the help-file syntax is the same as GC20-1820-4 - CP Command Reference Release 6 PLC 17 (1981).

BUT, after printing all the * AUXHRC files, I found DMKCSV AUXHRC B1 :
"HRC022DK V01 IMPLEMENT THE ENHANCED TRANSFER COMMAND"

Seems the help file has not been updated ;/

QUERY CPLEVEL and QUERY CMSLEVEL also respond with the old version number.
