The NVSRAM in this directory is for the DS4300 storage server configurations
that have up to eight EXP100 (SATA) drive expansion enclosures only attached.
This NVSRAM file will disable the internal Fibre Channel drives slots in the
DS4300 storage server chassis. This is also not the correct NVSRAM file for
the DS4300 storage servers with the FC/SATA intermix premium feature, which
will enable the support of the EXP700/ EXP710 and the EXP100 drive expansion
enclosures behind a DS4300 storage server. Please refer to the other
sub-directory - For_attachment_of_EXP700_EXP710_encls_or_FC-SATA_Intermix_only
- for the correct NVSRAM file for the DS4300 storage server with FC/SATA
intermix premium feature enabled.

ATTENTION: DO NOT LOAD THIS NVSRAM FILE INTO ANY OF THE DS4300 STORAGE SERVERS
THAT HAVE DRIVES IN THE DS4300 CHASSIS DRIVE SLOTS. THIS WILL CAUSE THE DS4300
STORAGE SERVER NOT RECOGNIZING ANY OF THE DRIVES IN THE DS4300 CHASSIS. THIS
COULD RESULT IN THE DEGRADATION OF THE DEFINED RAID ARRAY OR A LOSS OF ACCESS
TO DATA. IF THIS NVSRAM FILE IS LOADED INTO A DS4300 STORAGE SERVER WITHOUT
ANY DRIVE EXPANSION ENCLOSURES ATTACHED, IT WILL PREVENT THE STORAGE SERVER
FROM COMPLETING THE BOOT PROCESS THAT IS INITIATED TO ACTIVATE THE NEW NVSRAM
SETTINGS, WHICH MIGHT RESULT IN LOST OF MANAGEMENT ACCESS TO the DS4300 STORAGE
SERVER. THERE IS NO SAFETY MECHANISM TO PREVENT THE UNINTENTIONAL LOADING OF
THIS NVSRAM FILE.

Please contact IBM support for more information, if required.

Note: The FC/SATA drive type intermixing behind a DS4000 storage server
requires the purchase of the FC/SATA intermix premium feature entitlement.
Please contact your IBM resellers or representatives for more information.
