Configuring Electronic Service Agent on your HMC

You can use Electronic Service Agent™ on your HMC to share server information and hardware problem information with service and support and to receive notification when problems occur. In addition, you can authorize individuals in your organization to view the information you send on the Internet. This enables you to view your history and track any trends in the service information that you share.

The types of server information you can share with service and support include the following:

Hardware problem information
Information about system characteristics, such as hardware and software inventory, and current fix levels
Information about system resources, such as Capacity on Demand data and disk use
Performance data
