Viewing available firmware levels for AIX and Linux

Find out how to view the levels of firmware that are available for you to download as fixes.

  1. From a computer or server with an Internet connection, go to the Fix Central Web site at http://www.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/.
  2. Select the appropriate family in the Product family list.
  3. To view available levels for AIX® or Linux®, perform the following steps:
    1. Select Hardware microcode and firmware in the Product or fix type list.
    2. Click Continue.
    3. From the Microcode downloads Web site, choose from the following options:
      • If there are tabs at the top of the page, continue with step 4.
      • If there is a drop-down list at the top of the page, continue with step 5.
  4. Perform the following steps:
    1. To view server firmware levels, ensure that Systems is selected in the Microcode downloads tab.
    2. In the Model column, find your specific server model.
    3. In the Updated column, view the available levels of server firmware available for your specific server model.
      Note: To view details about the fix, click Description. An HTML document opens.
    4. Record the available levels of server firmware.
    5. To view available levels of power subsystem firmware (if you have a model 575 or 59x server), click Other devices at the top of the page.
    6. In the Model column, find your specific server model.
    7. In the Updated column, view the available levels of power subsystem firmware for your specific server model.
    8. Record the available levels of power subsystem firmware.
  5. Perform the following steps:
    1. Select your machine type and model from the drop-down list. An information window is displayed.
    2. Click Continue. The available firmware is displayed.
    3. View and record the available server firmware and power subsystem firmware (if you have a model 575 or 59x server). For more details, click Desc.
