Migrating data from OS/400 V5R2 on model 620 to i5/OS V5R4 on model 520

In this scenario, you have an IBM® iSeries™ model 620 server, you are running OS/400® V5R2, and you want to migrate your data to an IBM eServer™ i5 model 520.

What to do

You cannot install i5/OS® V5R4 on model 620. To migrate your data, you need to save the data and the operating system to a tape drive that is compatible with model 520 and then restore the data on the model 520.
