Predefined checklist for Windows XP: Remote console through dial-up support

Complete the following checklist to set up a remote console (through dial-up support) on Windows® XP:
  1. Have you completed an initial server setup checklist?
    • Yes - Continue with the next step.
    • No - From the navigation menu, select Initial server setup and choose to create a customized setup checklist or use a predefined checklist. Complete the checklist tasks.
  2. Verify hardware requirements.
  3. Verify software requirements.
  4. Install iSeries™ Access for Windows.
  5. Apply iSeries Access for Windows service packs.
  6. Install the PC modem.
  7. Configure Operations Console on the PC.
  8. Start your connection.
