Granting remote access for a PC with Windows XP

This topic provides instructions for granting remote access in Windows® XP.

To grant remote access using Windows XP Incoming Connections Properties:
  1. Click Start > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.
  3. Double-click Incoming Connections.
    Note: If Incoming Connections does not exist, you must install it. For more information, see Creating and configuring incoming connections for a PC with Windows XP.
  4. In the Users allowed to connect field, select the check box next to the user ID that you want to grant remote access.
