The system has detected that all I/O hubs are missing from the system configuration.

  1. Power off the system (see Powering on and powering off).
  2. Use the following to determine which service processor to replace:
    1. If the last byte in word 3 of the SRC is 10, replace the service processor card in the primary processor enclosure. Continue at step 5.
    2. If the last byte in word 3 of the SRC is 20, replace the service processor card in the secondary processor enclosure 1. Continue at step 5.
    3. If the last byte in word 3 of the SRC is 30 and the system is managed by an HMC, go to step 4. If the last byte in word 3 of the SRC is 30 and the system is NOT managed by an HMC, continue with the next step.
  3. Using the Advanced System Management Interface (ASMI), log on and display the details of the service processor error logs. Using the Platform Event Log id (shown in the first table of each detail of the log), look at the first byte.
    1. If the first byte is 50, replace the service processor card in the primary processor enclosure. Continue at step 5.
    2. If the first byte is 51, replace the service processor card in the secondary processor enclosure 1. Continue at step 5.
  4. Log on to the HMC with the PE id and password and display the Manage Serviceable Events under Service Focal Point. Display the events for the corresponding service processor system, then double-click the system to see the details. Look at the field platform log ID which contains a decimal value that you need to convert to a hexadecimal value.
    1. If the first byte of the hexadecimal value is 50, replace the service processor card in the primary processor enclosure. Continue with the next step.
    2. If the first byte of the hexadecimal value is 51, replace the service processor card in the secondary processor enclosure 1. Continue at the next step.
  5. Perform a slow boot. Refer to Performing a slow boot.
  6. Does the problem persist?
  7. Power off the system (see Powering on and powering off).
  8. Replace the I/O backplane in the enclosure that contains the service processor you replaced previously in this procedure and perform a slow boot.
  9. Perform a slow boot. Refer to Performing a slow boot.
  10. Choose from the following:
