A diagnostic function detects a connection problem between a processor chip and a GX chip. If replacing the FRUs previously listed in the FRU list do not fix the problem, perform the following:

  1. Power off the system (see Powering on and powering off).
  2. Replace the mid-plane backplane (Un-P1). Refer to Locating FRUs for instructions.
  3. Perform a slow boot. This ends the procedure.
