Logical Host Ethernet Adapter Properties

Use this page to display information about each Logical Host Ethernet Adapter (LHEA) that belongs to this logical partition. An LHEA is a virtual Ethernet adapter that the logical partition can use to connect directly to a Host Ethernet Adapter (HEA) on the managed system. An HEA is a physical Ethernet adapter that is integrated directly into the GX+ bus. HEAs offer high throughput, low latency, and virtualization support for Ethernet connections. HEAs are also known as Integrated Virtual Ethernet adapters (IVE adapters).

A logical partition can have one LHEA for each HEA on the managed system. Each LHEA can have one or more logical ports. Each logical port can connect to a physical port on the HEA.

This page displays only for logical partitions for which you have configured one or more LHEAs.
