LHEA Table

This table displays the physical ports on the selected Host Ethernet Adapter (HEA), the logical port that the logical partition can use to access each physical port, and the virtual LANs that each logical port can access. When you activate a logical partition using a partition profile, the managed system configures logical ports for the logical partition based upon the specifications in the partition profile.

You can configure a new logical port for any of these physical ports or change the configuration of an existing logical port by selecting the physical port to which the logical port connects and clicking Configure.

You can clear the logical port information for a physical port by selecting the physical port and clicking Reset. You can clear only one physical port at a time using the Reset button.

This table contains the following information for each physical port on the selected HEA:

Physical Port Location Codes
This column displays the location code of each physical port.
Physical Port ID
This column displays the ID number of each physical port on the selected HEA.
Port Group
This column displays the ID number of the port group to which each physical port belongs. Each HEA has one or two port groups, and each port group can have up to 16 logical ports.
Logical Port IDs
This column displays the logical port ID number that is associated with each physical port. The combination of this number and the port group ID uniquely identifies each logical port for the selected HEA.
Allowed VLAN IDs
This column lists the ID numbers of the virtual LANs in which the logical port can participate. The logical port can accept packets with any of these virtual LAN IDs.
