Virtual fibre channel adapter properties (client)

Use this panel to view and modify the properties of a client virtual fibre channel adapter.

To make changes, enter the desired values and click OK.

The follwing information is displayed:

Adapter:
This displays the slot number for this adapter. You may change this valure.
Type of Adapter:
This displays the type of virtual fibre channel adapter. The value will be Client.
WWPNs:
This displays the worldwide port names (WWPNs) associated with this adapter. Like a physical fibre channel adapter, a virtual fibre channel adapter has two ports. Each port is identified by one WWPN so the virtual fibre channel adapter has two WWPNs associated with it.
This adapter is required for partition activation.
This option indicates whether this virtual fibre channel adapter is required for partition activation. If this option is selected, then you can activate the logical partition only if the virtual fibre channel adapter can be used for the logical partition. Also, you cannot remove the virtual fibre channel adapter from the logical partition using dynamic logical partitioning.
Server partition:
This displays the partition name of the associated with this virtual fibre channel adapter, and a drop-down list of partitions (with port numbers in parentheses) with available virtual fibre channel adapters. To change the server partition, select the server you want from the list.
Server adapter ID:
This displays the server slot number for this adapter.
