System Virtual LAN Information
This window displays a table that lists the virtual Local Area Networks (LANs) that are currently active on your managed system, and indicates whether each virtual LAN is bridged to an external network. Use this table to help you decide which virtual LAN to use for a specific virtual Ethernet adapter.
This table contains the following information:
- VLAN
- This column displays the virtual LAN ID on which each virtual Ethernet adapter participates.
- Partition
- This column displays the partition name and partition ID (in parentheses) of each logical partition that participates in each virtual LAN.
- Slot
- This column displays the virtual slot ID of the virtual Ethernet adapter that connects each logical partition with each virtual LAN.
- Virtual Adapter
- This column displays the location code of the virtual Ethernet adapter that connects each logical partition with each virtual LAN.
- Bridge Adapter
- This column displays the location code of the physical Ethernet adapter through which the virtual LAN is bridged to an external network.
