Remote NFS server

Use this panel to select the type of remote server. You may choose from:

NFS

If you choose NFS, the following fields will be displayed. Use these fields to enter information about the remote NFS server where HMC service packages reside. Once you are connected to the remote server, a list of recognized filetypes containing potential HMC service packages will be displayed. The connection will time out after 30 minutes.

Remote Server: This is either the name or IP addresss of the remote NFS server where the HMC corrective service files are located.

Resource: This is the NFS server's exported resource. It is normally an alias defined by the system administrator of the remote server which points to specific directories on that server.

Remote directory (optional): This is a directory offset from the remote server's exported resouce. It is an optional field.

Other mount options: Use this field to enter any additional mount options required for accessing the NFS server. Use a comma to separate the options. Note that not every filesystem honors specified options. This is an optional field.
