Use this panel to choose the type of repository that contains the HMC corrective service package files. One or more of the following options will be enabled, depending on how your HMC is configured. Choose one of the options that is enabled on your system.
You may choose from the following:
Removeable Media: Refers to all supported physically external media where the HMC service packages can be located. The currently supported media sub-types that can be locally acessed by the HMC are: CD-ROM/DVD-RAM, USB flash memory devices, and either USB or internal diskette drives.
Remote Server: The remote server option refers to either an NFS or FTP server where the HMC corrective service files can be located. On the next panel, you will be asked for server and authentication information.
Internet: The Internet option allows the HMC to contact the IBM service website and directly download corrective service files from that location.
