If you want to add the I/O adapter to an I/O pool, select Add to I/O pool and enter the I/O pool identification number into the I/O pool ID field.
An I/O pool is a group of I/O adapters that can be taken over and used by any of a specified group of logical partitions without the active intervention of the HMC.
