Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)

Virtual LAN is composed of virtual Ethernet adapters configured into a virtual LAN, and is supported on AIX, Linux, IBMi, and Windows and Linux on integrated xSeries servers on IBMi. Virtual LAN is a high-speed interconnect mechanism which appears to Linux as an ordinary Ethernet LAN. Virtual LAN uses built-in processor facilities accessed through the hypervisor.
