Use the Partition Migration: VLAN Configuration page to select the VLAN configuration that you want the migrating partition to use on the destination system. There may be more than one VLAN ID for the migrating partition, and for each VLAN ID, there may be more than one possible matching configuration on the destination system. A default configuration will be suggested if there are multiple possible matches for a single VLAN ID, but you can optionally change this default to any of the possible configurations presented for that VLAN ID.
This page shows the following information:
VLAN ID
Lists the ID of each virtual LAN in which the migrating partition participates on the source system.Status
Present: Indicates that the VLAN ID is found on the destination system.
Not Present: Indicates that the VLAN ID is not found on the destination system. The migrating partition will not have access to the virtual LAN on the destination system.Bridged
Yes: Indicates that the virtual LAN on the destination system (with the same VLAN ID as the virtual LAN on the source system) is connected to the LAN (by a shared Ethernet adapter in the destination Virtual I/O Server logical partition).
No: Indicates that the virtual LAN on the destination system (with the same VLAN ID as the virtual LAN on the source system) is not connected to the LAN. You can move a logical partition from a bridged environment to a non-bridged environment; however, the logical partition will not have access to the LAN on the destination system.Destination VIOS
Lists each Virtual I/O Server logical partition on the destination system that has a virtual LAN with the same VLAN ID as the virtual LAN on the source system.
