Partition name

Specify a partition name to identify the logical partition you want to create. This name displays within the user interface of the Hardware Management Console. You can choose a name that identifies the location or function of the logical partition.

Each logical partition must have a partition name that is unique within the managed system.

You can use up to 31 characters for the logical partition name. The logical partition name can consist of uppercase letters (A through Z), lowercase letters (a through z), numerals (0 through 9), and the following special characters: comma (,), period (.), slash (/), semicolon (;), colon (:), tilde (~), at (@), pound (#), caret (^), hyphen (-), underscore (_), equals (=), plus (+), left brace ({), and right brace (}). Characters with diacritical marks are not allowed.
