Maximum memory

Specify the maximum amount of memory that you want the logical partition that is associated with this partition profile to have when you dynamically move memory. You can commit more memory to the logical partition only by changing this value in the partition profile properties and reactivating the partition profile.

You can express the maximum memory amount in gigabytes and megabytes. If you enter a number of gigabytes, the wizard multiplies that number by 1024 and adds the result to the megabytes to obtain the total number of megabytes to use.

Do not specify a maximum memory amount that is higher than the maximum amount of memory that the logical partition is likely to use.
