Specify the number that identifies the partition workload group to which you want the logical partition to belong when you activate this partition profile. You can specify any number from 0 to 4095, or you can select (None) to specify that the logical partition does not belong to any partition workload group.
A partition workload group is a group of logical partitions whose resources are managed collectively by a workload management application. Workload management applications can balance memory and processor resources within groups of logical partitions without intervention from the Hardware Management Console (HMC). Workload management applications are installed separately and can be obtained from a solution provider company.
You can specify a partition workload group number here either before or after you install a workload management application.
Any change you make on this page takes effect only after you shut down the logical partition and reactivate this partition profile.
