Displays the name of the service partition for this server. The service partition is the logical partition on your managed system that has the authority needed to perform service-related functions on the managed system. For example, the service partition can apply internal code updates to the service processor through its operating system. On certain server models, you can also configure the service partition to communicate errors to the service provider.
You can set the service partition for your managed system by shutting down the logical partition that is to be your service partition and setting this field to specify that logical partition. To change the service partition from one logical partition to another, you must shut down both logical partitions before changing this field.
For iSeries servers, only an IBMi logical partition can be designated as the service partition. Service partitions do not apply to IBM System p servers.
