IBMi logical partitions on IBM System p servers can use only a limited number of the processors on the server. The number of processors that can be used by IBMi logical partitions varies by server model. This limits the number of IBMi logical partitions that you can have running on these IBM System p servers and the possible configurations of those IBMi logical partitions.
