When True, you can configure two shared Ethernet adapters on two separate Virtual I/O Server logical partitions so that one of the shared Ethernet adapters acts as a backup to the other, primary shared Ethernet adapter. If you configure the shared Ethernet adapters properly, the backup shared Ethernet adapter activates automatically when the primary shared Ethernet adapter fails. This allows network connectivity to continue without interruption.
