Manage System Profiles

This window displays a list of the system profiles that exist for the selected managed system. Use this window to manage these system profiles.

To perform an action on this page, select the system profile in the table (if you want to perform the action on the system profile), click Actions, and select the action that you want to perform from the menu. Possible actions include:

New

Choose New to create a new system profile for the managed system.

Edit

Choose Edit to view or change the properties of the selected system profile.

Copy

Choose Copy to create an exact copy of the selected system profile on the managed system. This allows you to create multiple system profiles that are nearly identical to one another by copying a system profile and changing the copies as needed.

Delete

Choose Delete to delete the selected system profile.

Activate

Choose Activate to activate the selected system profile. The managed system attempts to activate each logical partition in the system profile in the sequence given by the system profile.

Validate

Choose Validate to validate the selected system profile and ensure that the resources available on the managed system can support the activation of the system profile. The validation process lets you know whether any of the logical partitions in the system profile are already active and whether the uncommitted resources on the managed system can meet the minimum resources specified in the partition profiles.
