Licensed Internal Code (LIC) Details

Use this window to view information from the associated cover letters based on the current installation type and to view additional LIC cover letter levels.

Cover letters contain descriptive information about the contents of the update. This is useful, especially when you select an installation type of Concurrent install only, with deferred disruptive activate or Disruptive install and activate.

• A concurrent update can be installed and activated without rebooting partitions or disrupting applications.
• Anytime you choose a disruptive install or disruptive activate, the disruptive activation performs a system restart which shuts down all applications.

  To ensure your system is ready for the disruption, first quiesce, or close, all applications that are running on the system.
