The information displayed here allows you to see the processor and memory utilization on the managed system as a whole at the indicated date and time.
- State
- Displays the state of the managed system at the indicated date and time. Possible values include the following:
Operating: The managed system has initialized and is operational.
Power off: The managed system is powered off.
Initializing: The managed system is powered on and is initializing. The initialization time can vary depending on the hardware and the partition configuration of the managed system.
Pending authentication: The managed system is waiting for the password to be authenticated.
Failed authentication: The service processor password is not synchronized with the Hardware Management Console (HMC) password.
Error: The operating system or the hardware of the managed system is experiencing an error.
Error - Dump in Progress: The operating system or the hardware of the managed system is experiencing an error, and a system dump is in process.
Error - Terminated: The operating system or the hardware of the managed system is experiencing an error, and the attempted action was terminated.
On Demand Recovery: The anchor card (also known as the system VPD card) on this managed system has been replaced. You must enter replacement activation codes for Capacity on Demand (including CoD advanced functions such as Advanced POWER Virtualization Enterprise Edition, Advanced POWER Virtualization Standard Edition, and Enterprise Enablement). You will then need to restart your On/Off CoD requests.
Powering Off: The managed system is in the process of powering off.
Standby: The managed system is powered on using the Power on standby option. It will stay in this state until a partition or system profile is activated. You can create and modify partitions and profiles while the managed system is in this state.
Incomplete: The HMC failed to get all of the necessary information from the managed system.
No Connection: The HMC is not connected or the handshake with the managed system failed.
Recovery: The save area in the service processor is not synchronized with the HMC database.- Configurable processing units
- Displays the number of processing units that were configurable for logical partitions on the managed system at the indicated date and time. This number includes processing units that were assigned to logical partitions on the managed system.
- Available processing units
- Displays the number of processing units that were available for logical partition usage on the managed system at the indicated date and time. This number does not include any processing units that were assigned to powered-off logical partitions.
- Available 5250 CPW (percent)
- Displays the amount of 5250 Commercial Processing Workload (5250 CPW) that was available for logical partition usage on the managed system at the indicated date and time. This number is nonzero only if 5250 CPW is configurable on the managed system.
- Configurable memory (GB)
- Displays the amount of memory (in gigabytes) that was configurable for logical partitions on the managed system at the indicated date and time. This number includes memory that was assigned to logical partitions on the managed system. I
- Available memory (GB)
- Displays the amount of memory (in gigabytes) that was available for partition usage on the managed system at the indicated date and time. This number does not include any memory that was assigned to powered-off partitions.
- System firmware memory (GB)
- Displays the amount of memory (in gigabytes) that was reserved by the system firmware at the indicated date and time. This memory was used to manage the logical partitions on the managed system.
