This panel is displayed only if you specified that you want to add or remove paging space devices to or from the shared memory pool. This panel shows the paging space devices that are currently assigned to the shared memory pool. Use this panel to add paging space devices to the shared memory pool or to remove paging space devices from the shared memory pool.
To remove a paging space device from the shared memory pool, select the device and click Remove.
To add a paging space device to the shared memory pool, click Select Devices.
The table displays the following information about each paging space device that is currently assigned to the shared memory pool:
- The name of the paging VIOS partition or paging VIOS partitions that provide access to the paging space device.
- The name of the paging space device.
- The size of the paging space device.
- The status of the paging space device:
- Active: Indicates that the paging space device is currently in use (as a paging space device for a shared memory partition).
- Inactive: Indicates that the space device is not currently in use.
- The redundancy capability of the paging space device:
- True: Indicates that both paging VIOS partitions that are assigned to the shared memory pool can access the paging space device. Note that the device itself is not redundant; access to the device is redundant.
- False: Indicates that only one paging VIOS partition that is assigned to the shared memory pool can access the paging space device.
- The physical location code of the paging space device.
