Select the source for the system plan

Select one of the following options to indicate the location of the system-plan file that you want to import:

• Import from this computer to the HMC

  If you select this option, you can import a system-plan file from the local system on which you are running the browser to access the HMC. Select this option and click Import to open the Upload File window. Click Browse... to navigate to the appropriate location in the local file system, select the file, and click Open. In the Upload file window, click OK to complete the import process.

• Import from media

  If you select this option, you must select the media device from which you want to import the system-plan file. You can specify a Sub-directory location on the media that contains the file you want to import as part of selecting the device.

• Import from a remote FTP site

  If you select this option, you must specify the following information about the remote FTP site that hosts the system-plan file that you want to import:

  • Remote site hostname
  • User ID
  • Password
  • Remote directory
