Guided Setup - The Next Steps

Use this window to view a list of the HMC configuration tasks you have completed and what tasks remain for you to complete.

The tasks to configure your network settings include the following:

• Selecting the Media speed and duplex mode for each Ethernet adapter. For example, 1000Mpbs full duplex.
• Specifying a private or open network connection to the HMC

You need to gather networking information before you can complete the next steps in the wizard. Ensure you have the HMC host name and the domain name. You may also need to know whether your HMC will be on a private or open network. You may also need information about IP addresses, the gateway address, and the DNS name server including address and domain suffixes.
