This table lists the physical ports located on the selected Host Ethernet Adapter (HEA) and the actual current operating properties of these physical ports.
You can change the configuration of any of these ports by selecting the port and clicking Configure.
This table contains the following information for each physical port on the selected HEA:
- Physical Port Location Codes
- This column displays the location code of each physical port.
- Port ID
- This column displays the ID number of each physical port on the selected HEA.
- Port Type
- This column displays the type of each physical port (10 Gbps or 1 Gbps).
- Port Group ID
- This column displays the ID number of the port group to which each physical port belongs. Each HEA has one or two port groups, and each port group can have up to 16 logical ports.
- Port Group MCS Value
- This column displays the Multi-Core Scaling (MCS) value for the port group. MCS enables traffic from one physical port to be processed in parallel by interrupt handlers running on different processors.
- Connection State
- This column displays the current connection state of each physical port (Up, Down, or Nonfunctional).
- Speed
- This column displays the current transmission speed of each physical port.
- Duplex
- This column displays the duplex level of each physical port (Full or Half).
- Transmit Flow Control
- This column indicates whether flow control is enabled in the transmit direction for each physical port.
- Receive Flow Control
- This column indicates whether flow control is enabled in the receive direction for each physical port.
- Maximum receiving packet size
- This column indicates the actual maximum packet size that can be received by each physical port (1500 bytes per frame or 9000 bytes per frame).
