Use this window to select the logical port to use for the physical port that you selected on the LHEA page. If you activate the logical partition using this partition profile, and the physical Host Ethernet Adapter (HEA) resources defined in this partition profile are still available, the logical partition will be able to connect to the physical port on the HEA using the logical port that you select here. HEAs are also known as Integrated Virtual Ethernet adapters (IVE adapters).
You can also select VLANs in which the selected logical port can participate. The logical port does not need to participate in any VLANs. You can set the logical port to participate in all VLANs, or you can set the logical port to particpate in up to twenty VLANs that you specify.
If a logical port belongs to a running logical partition or to a logical partition that has previously been activated, change to the VLAN configuration of that logical port do not take effect until you remove the logical port from the logical partition and add the logical port back to the logical partition with the changed VLAN configuration.
