Any client partition can connect/Only selected client partition can connect

Indicate which virtual client serial adapters are to have access to this virtual server serial adapter. This choice is available only for virtual server serial adapters.

• If you select Any client partition can connect, then you can connect to this virtual server serial adapter using any virtual client serial adapter on this managed system.
• If you select Only selected client partition can connect, then you can connect to this virtual server serial adapter only using the virtual client serial adapter that you indicate in Client partition and Client adapter. Enter the partition ID of the logical partition on which the virtual client serial adapter exists into Client partition, and enter the slot number of the virtual client serial adapter into Client adapter. You can enter these values even if the logical partition or virtual client serial adapter does not exist yet.

Although you can set up a virtual server serial adapter to accept connections from any virtual client serial adapter, a virtual server serial adapter can be connected to only one virtual client serial adapter at a time.
