Save Upgrade Data

Use this wizard to save upgrade data to selected media. This data consists of files that were created or customized while running the current software level. Saving this data to selected media is performed prior to a Hardware Management Console (HMC) software upgrade.

• Select Hard Drive and click Next to save this information to a non-volatile area of the HMC hard drive.
  Note: This task should only be performed prior to an HMC software upgrade. Any configuration changes made after performing this task will not be included with the new HMC software release.
• Select DVD and click Next to save this information to both the non-volatile area of the HMC hard drive and to the DVD media.
• Select USB flash memory device and click Next to save this information to both the non-volatile area of the HMC hard drive and to the USB flash memory device.
