Use this window to shut down the HMC. You can shut down the HMC if you experience stability issues with the HMC.
When you click OK, the HMC waits for a period of time for pending actions to complete, logs off all users, and shuts down. The HMC starts this process immediately when you click OK. All systems that are managed by the HMC continue to run as normal when the HMC is shut down.
After the HMC shuts down, the HMC restarts itself by default. If you do not want the HMC to restart itself, clear the Restart the HMC option.
Use caution when using this option, particularly if you work with the HMC from a remote location. The HMC will be unavailable for a period of time, and if the HMC has trouble restarting itself, you might not be able to fix the problem easily.
