Indicates the total amount of physical memory that is currently allocated to the shared memory partition from the shared memory pool for its I/O devices.
The HMC automatically allocates I/O entitled memory when the logical partition is activated, however you can dynamically adjust this value. To dynamically change the value for the I/O entitled memory, you must clear the Auto check box and then you can specify a value for the I/O entitled memory.
When you add or remove a virtual adapter to or from the shared memory partition in manual mode, the HMC does not automatically adjust the I/O entitled memory. Therefore, you might need to dynamically adjust the I/O entitled memory when you dynamically add adapters to the shared memory partition or remove adapters from the shared memory partition.
The I/O entitled memory for the shared memory partition must be less than the available pool memory.
You can specify the size in a combination of gigabytes (GB) plus megabytes (MB).
