Use all the resources in the system.

Indicate whether you want this partition profile to use all the resources on the system (memory, processors, I/O, disks, and so on). When you activate such a partition profile, the managed system commits all system resources to the logical partition for that partition profile. If there is another logical partition running when you activate the partition profile, the managed system does not activate the logical partition.

Activating such a partition profile has the following implications:

• Once the logical partition starts up, the logical partition can overwrite all disk resources on the server. Depending on the operating system, the logical partition may overwrite all disk resources automatically.
• No other logical partitions can be activated while the logical partition runs.
• If you have added resources to the managed system before activating the partition profile, the resources are added to the logical partition automatically.

You are not able to create an IBM i logical partition that uses all of the system resources on IBM System p models. If you are creating an IBM i logical partition or partition profile on an IBM System p model, this option is unavailable.
