SNI Adapters

Use this page to indicate which Switch Network Interface (SNI) adapters you want to assign to the partition. The adapters are assigned to the partition when the profile is activated.

SNI adapters are not supported for IBM i logical partitions.

The table shows a list of the SNI adapters that are available on the managed system. This table contains the following information:

Adapter

This column displays the adapter handle for each SNI adapter.

Owner

This column displays the name of the logical partition to which each SNI adapter is assigned. If the adapter is not assigned to a partition, the column is blank.

Physical location

This column displays the location code that identifies where each SNI adapter is located physically within the managed system.

Network ID

This column displays the host name or IP address of each SNI adapter.

Click the box in the Selected column to add or remove adapters from the profile. Only those adapters that are selected will be assigned to the partition when the profile is activated.
